Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2 July 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of MyJobFinder ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
2. Definitions
- Platform means the MyJobFinder website and related services.
- Tradesman means a skilled worker registered to find work through the Platform.
- Client means a user posting jobs or hiring tradesmen through the Platform.
- User means any person who accesses or uses the Platform.
3. Account Registration & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep it updated. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions, Payments & Cancellations
Tradesmen may subscribe to a paid plan to apply for jobs. Prices are shown at the point of purchase and include any applicable VAT. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Cancel anytime. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile. Your access to paid features continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. We do not pro-rate or refund the current billing period once it has started.
Consumer cooling-off waiver. Because access to paid features is granted immediately on purchase, by subscribing you expressly request that the service starts within the 14-day cancellation period and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel for a refund under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 once the service has been provided in full for a billing cycle.
Refunds may still be given at our discretion in the case of a serious platform fault or a duplicate charge — please raise a support request through the website.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
- Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users.
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures.
- Transfer your account to another person without our consent.
6. Jobs, Contracts & Our Role
MyJobFinder is an introducer platform only. We help Clients and Tradesmen find each other. Any contract for work — including price, scope, timing, guarantees, warranties, insurance, invoicing and payment — is formed directly between the Client and the Tradesman. MyJobFinder is not a party to any such contract, does not act as an agent for either side, does not vet or certify Tradesmen's qualifications, and does not oversee or hold funds for any transaction.
Clients are responsible for satisfying themselves as to a Tradesman's suitability (including checking any relevant certifications, insurance, and references) before engaging them. Tradesmen are responsible for holding any qualifications, insurance, licences and registrations required by UK law for the work they carry out (for example Gas Safe, NICEIC, or CIS registration where applicable).
7. Reviews & Ratings
Users may leave reviews and ratings based on genuine experiences. You may not submit false or defamatory reviews. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these terms or our policies.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by or licensed to MyJobFinder and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyJobFinder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyJobFinder, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time via your profile settings.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
